and thereafter our tools shape us.”

About

I grew up in Scotts Valley using eBay to buy and sell the various items that were my hobbies - paintball gear, photography supplies, drum kits, audio equipment, computers, motorcycles and mountain bikes.

When I got older, I started using Craigslist to buy and sell. I have gone all around the Bay Area as well as in other cities I have lived, such as Seattle and Portland, for all sorts basic living items, hobby supplies, and have even driven cross-country being fueled only by contributions from others who requested rides via the Craigslist "ride share" section. Friends and family have often commented on how much I switch my "things" around.

My experience with selling has almost always turned out favorable. I have found a way to get equal or above value and get positive feedback. Being able to change like this without financial loss have given me much freedom and satisfaction to try new things and shape my own life.

My experience of selling reaches further back. My past jobs as a tour guide and studio photographer have both helped me develop accompanying skills. Reaching back even further, I can recall memories of my father bartering for sports tickets minutes before the game! In all these cases, selling has been fun and simply a way of life.
